Home Sound Dampening

Insulation can do more for your home than just increase its energy efficiency. You may find that by installing Fullback®FC siding insulation on your home actually helps to dampen outside sounds, making the inside of your home quieter than before!

Demonstration Exercise

  

Take two foam coffee cups and place them over your ears while listening to the radio. You will immediately notice that the very thin pieces of foam (about 1/16" thick) will dramatically dampen the sound.

Now imagine placing 1" thick Fullback®FC on the outside of your home. It is easy to see how this insulation can dampen exterior noises, which is great for any number of outdoor sounds: lawn mowers, a noisy highway, barking dogs, airport traffic, late night sirens, train tracks, and more!
