Increase the Impact Resistance of Your Fiber Cement
Although fiber cement home siding may seem like a durable product, there is one obvious problem that makes it vulnerable to damage: the hollow void between the siding and your home. This leaves it susceptible to damage from the impact of a variety of items, including hail, flying debris, a rock thrown from your lawn mower, and more!
Installing Fullback®FC siding insulation behind your new fiber cement siding will greatly increase it's impact resistance, because the foam acts like a shock absorber. The insulation dampens the blow from the object by absorbing the impact energy, thereby protecting the siding system from damage.
