Prevent Termite Damage with Siding Insulation
Fullback®V siding insulation contains PREVENTOL® TM EPS, a systemic insecticide which protects the foam insulation from termite damage. The active ingredient in PREVENTOL® TM EPS is used at low concentrations and is safe for installers and homeowners. The active ingredient is also commonly used for pest control, crop protection and as a topical treatment for flea and tick control on pets.
Because the insulating foam is contoured to fit each particular vinyl siding profile, it eliminates the hollow void found behind traditional vinyl siding that could be structurally hospitable to nesting pests. The insulation under siding foam itself also does not contain cellulose, and is therefore not a food source for termites or other insects.
Insulated accessories are also available, which eliminate spaces around windows and corner posts, where nesting birds can cause problems with your siding. Learn about insulated siding materials or request a siding quote online.
